There’s something deeply touching about reading these words at the top of this page- Feel With Both Hands- and I’m going to tell you why and how it relates to Rockwall Body and Soul Massage.

My Mema was a charming, feisty, strong woman and whenever you would ask her how she felt, she would reach out to touch your face and say, “ I feel with both hands!”

It’s more than just words, though, it’s the whole concept of being present and in awe of the connection- physical, spiritual, and mental- that we have with other people.

She believed in touching to get and hold attention, to show that she was present with you while you were going through whatever it was.

When sitting next to Mema, you’ll find her hand resting on your knee as she listened to your stories.

She would also say that when you hugged her, you better hug with both hands- to show you weren’t giving a half-hearted hug.

I’ve taken this approach to my massage business and it’s all about the way I treat each person that chooses to come to Rockwall Body and Soul Massage.

I believe in sitting down with each person first and listening to what’s on their mind.

I realize the importance of making sure people feel safe before they get undressed and slide between sheets.

I lean forward and I feel with both hands from the moment I meet each person until they walk out the door, just like my Mema would do.

This blog will be about the stories, the people, the music and the massages that take place here.

It’s part of the new thing that God has placed upon my soul and now I’m going to really feel with both hands and tell all about it!
