She found what she needed

Might have lost what she wanted

Somewhere along the way

She had won the battle

And had the scars to show

What she had defeated

She was tickled pink and ecstatic over certain things

Which made the sadness

That came an uninvited visitor that she knew too well

There are two sides

To every story

Two ways of looking at things

There’s good and bad

This and that

Give and take

Beauty among the ashes

Grace in the chaos

And she knew 

That all things

Would work out for good

If she just kept on believing

Like she had always done
