She walked up to him

barefoot 

stood up on her tippy toes

and wrapped her arms

around him

and wondered how

the years had flew by

since the days 

that he had walked

up to her instead

barefoot

and stood on his tippy toes

to wrap his arms

around her

Back then

he was small

and she seemed tall

and now it’s quite the opposite

she’s small

and he’s so big and tall

that she has to stand

on her tippy toes

to kiss his cheek

and whisper

“i love you,sweet baby”

into his ear.
