Here I am…12 days after my birthday…keeping my promise to myself.

I swore this year of my life that I would cultivate friendships, that I will say, “YES!” instead of finding reasons or excuses not to do the things I desire and enjoy.

I swore to be fully present and in awe of the moments,the people,and the chances I have.

I have sat on the sidelines too much and I regret that.

So here I am,with a promised cup of Mexican coffee,sharing thoughts with a beautiful friend that I connect with so deeply.

It’s only the first….

I will not turn down another.

I will not turn down a chance to dance.

I will not look back on this year of my life and regret the things I didn’t do.

I will drink fully and pour out the love.
