Left In The Dark

There’s one thing

She really can’t tolerate

There’s no reason why

She ever should

Unless it’s for a good surprise

She can always tell

When that’s not what it’s about

And being left in the dark

High and dry

Stranded on the side

Doesn’t set well with her at all

She wants the full story

Not bits and pieces

She wants the real deal

What it’s all about

Or she’ll pull on her boots

Turn right back around

Head out on her own

Where she won’t ever

Be left out in the dark.
