Shadow of Doubt – dance

“In every life there is a turning point. A moment so tremendous, so sharp and clear that one feels as if one’s been hit in the chest, all the breath knocked out, and one knows, absolutely knows without the merest hint of a shadow of a doubt that one’s life will never be the same…” – Julia Quinn

S H A D O W
(OF DOUBT)

She Thinks
She’s Invisible
But I See Her

Melancholy Eyes
With A Reflective
Inquisitive Smile
For Those
Who Deserve It

Hands
That Wish To Touch
And Be Touched

Lips
That Wish To Kiss
And Be Cherished

Silent Resolve
And Practiced Patience
Bundled
In A Cocoon
Of Courage
That Never
Leaves A
Shadow Of Doubt

Only A Fool
Would Fail
To Fall In Love
With Her

Only A Fool
Would See Her
As A Fading Spiral

When All I See
Is Her Unfurling
Brightness…

-randini-

Most of the the time
She knows it’s true
She’s looked at
But not seen
Heard but not quite understood

She feels as if
Her soul is
invisible
And her body
Just about is

She longs to be
touched and cherished
With full intention and not just cause she’s there
She settles for far less
In order to keep the promises and the peace
But once in awhile she turns on

That Southern charm

Unleashed fury
Sashays with grace

Making it hard

Beyond a shadow of Doubt

That she’s anything but invisible

As grown men

Stumble

All over themselves
Crossing that invisible line
And landing in the trap
Where they can’t help but wish
They could be the ones to kiss
The bright red lipstick off her lips
Hold her hands
Spin her around
And give her what she dreams of
When she feels invisible.
