She couldn’t quite explain
How she knew
After all these years
That something was about to happen
Hard wired
Gut instincts
Holy Spirit
Guardian angel
She just knew
Her body and her spirit
Went into overdrive
She pulled her act together
Found places to hide
Got back on track
To be stronger
Prepared herself for battle
Just in case it came to be
She was still standing
Still strong
Still the fighter
She always was
She was up in the trees
Safe in her place
Ready for whatever
Just in case
She knew who she could count on
Always had been
It was the woman in the mirror
It was her♥️
